April 2009: we received the Biritiba Objetivo school junior high visitors who were able to spend time on a day camp, milk the cow, plant trees and vegetables to take home, care for the lifestock, learn about the importance of water springs. The children were enchanted by our poney Monalisa and also played many games on the grass court.

April 2009 Vice major visit. In the beginning of April we received the visit of Biritba Mirim Vice Major Mr. José Cury Andere Filho and Mr. Antonio Leite. Their comments about the place: "a true island of protected atlantic rain forest where it is possible to hear the sounds of Nature".

A similar comment was also heard from an adult excursionist: "it has been a long time since I last managed to just stay still and enjoy the peace and silence of nature".
